Elevating university initiatives.
From January to June 2024, I worked as the Design and Communications Specialist for Northeastern University's Office of the Provost. As a part of the Deputy Provost team, I led creative strategy for high-profile university initiatives. Over 6 months I ideated and designed information graphics, email templates, slide decks, and social posts.
Role
Design and Communications Specialist
Tools
Adobe Suite, Figma, Mailchimp, Powerpoint, Canva
Organization
NU Office of the Provost

Signage
I was tasked with designing wayfinding & promotional signage for various university events, including faculty-centered orientations and speaker series. With these signs, I aimed to elevate the university’s visual presence while maintaining brand consistency.

Slide Decks
The Provost Office acts as a central hub between many different offices and initiatives across all of Northeastern's campuses. I was often tasked with designing Powerpoint templates for these different offices, including Northeastern Global News and the Impact Engines initiative. I challenged myself to give each brand a distinct look and feel.

Social Posts
My first project at the office was to create a distinct visual identity for Masters and PhD at Northeastern, a new set of social accounts that aimed to spotlight graduate student resources. I created templates in Canva that could be used for speakers, events, scheduling, and countdowns.

Emails
Part of my responsibilities was to design email templates in Figma and implement them into the office's Mailchimp system. I designed both internal and external email communications, aiming to enhance the way we presented ourselves to students, faculty, and staff. Much of these emails contain sensitive information and cannot be shared, but here are two examples of layouts that I created.
